Powdered raw materials are commonly used in specialty paper manufacturing, such as for oil pan gaskets. Where fillers are concerned, properties such as density / weight, temperature and corrosion resistance, acid resistance, mechanical characteristics, color and particle shape are important. Applications areas include, for example, „heavy fillers“ (mass per unit), such as
rutile, ilmenite, zircon, magnetite, nesosil, FeSi 15, among others, or also decorative components (e.g., plaster façades).
